These saints were Persians by birth. When it was learned that they were Christians they were arrested, sent to Rome, scourged with cords weighted with lead, and finally beheaded.

In all things let us exhibit ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in tribulation, in necessities, in distresses, in stripes, in prisons, in seditions, in labors, in watchings, in fastings, in chastity, in long-suffering, in sweetness, in the Holy Ghost. ~Epistle

Ideal~ Not much more is known about these saints than this that they were martyred for professing faith in Christ. But we know that the privilege of martyrdom must be earned.

Today~ The world need not know all about the good you are doing. Your reward will be all the greater if only God knows. He will be your reward exceeding great.
