When only three years old the Blessed Virgin was presented in the temple by her holy parents. Tradition tells us that she remained here for some time in company with other young girls in the care of holy women.

  Her’s was hidden treasure of modesty, her’s the high standard of faith, her’s the self-sacrifice of earnestness, her’s to be the pattern of maidenhood at home, of kinswomanhood in ministry, of motherhood in the temple.

   Whosoever, therefore, shall humble himself as this little one, he is the greater in the kingdom of heaven. –Imitation: Book III.

  Ideal: Your love for our Lady has, no doubt, made you foresee the approach of this lovely feast.

  Today: Say all your prayers, do all your work as you think our Lady would do them, and try to imagine her watching you trying to imitate her. If your little sister has ever been caught imitating your mother, you know how your mother loved to watch her.
